Savings Bonds Beneficiary Change
Question: Series EE Savings Bonds?
I have Series EE Savings Bonds that I purchased between 1987 to 1996. Are they still earning interest? Also how can I change my beneficiary?
Answer: Any EE’s you may have bought that are under 30 years old are still earning interest: http://www.sec.gov/answers/savingsbond.htm
To change the beneficiary, you need to reissue the bond: http://www.savingsbonds.gov/indiv/research/indepth/ebonds/res_e_bonds_eereplace.htm
