Question: Why is Helen Keller on the 50$ Series I savings bond?

I was just curious on, how they decided to put her image on the bond and what was the symbolism behind it?

Answer: Yes she is on the “I” bond. I don’t think it was meant to be funny because I don’t think the treasury has a sense of humor. I found it hilarious when I got my first I bond.
