Us Savings Bond Interest

Question: How can I find if my EE have stopped earning interest? Please provide a site at the Federal Reserve. Thanks
I have some old US Savings Bonds Series EE…How can I find out if they are still earning interest or have matured?
Answer: They will continue to accrue interest for 30 years after the date posted on the front of the bond. If you go to www.savingsbond.gov you can enter the date posted on the bond and find out the exact current value of the bond. Good Luck

Us Savings Bonds Treasury

Question: If I invested $5000 into US Savings Bonds or treasury bonds, how much will I get in 5 years? 10 years? 30?
Answer: It really depends on the bond and its maturity length. I recently redeemed a few Series EE Bonds. As I recall, the interest rate was about 4.5%, maturity was about 18 years, and interest would not be paid after 30 years.
Basically, you buy the bond at half its redeemable value. Once it reaches maturity, it will have doubled the price you paid for it.
